Welcome to my Greenwood Family Tree.

Starting  with my Great Grandfather - Jacob Greenwood, who was born in Clayton  Yorkshire.  

I've been researching my family tree since 2005 and have got back to 1796 and found most of my Greenwood family complete with certificates of birth marriages and deaths and last wills and testaments wherever possible.

For 6 years, along with a colleague we started up a free self  help group for people researching their families at the Worksop Library,

I'm willing to help anyone with their tree's if possible.

Jacob Greenwood (Father).

SAM GREENWOOD WAS THE SON OF JACOB GREENWOOD AND SABINA MIDGLEY.

HE TOO WAS A BOOT AND SHOE MAKER. 

SAM MARRIED MARY ANN AMBLER IN 1877 YORKSHIRE.

WHEN SHE DIED SAM GREENWOOD MARRIED AGAIN IN 1907 MARCH 11TH YORKSHIRE TO JEANETTE BINNS TILLOTSON.

SAM'S SECOND WIFE DIED 21ST SEPTEMBER 1927, JEANETTE LEFT A LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT AND WAS LEFT TO HER HUSBAND TO THE TUNE OF £1.030 WHICH AT THAT TIME WAS A LARGE SUM OF MONEY.
